Why a javelina?

I am working on my next book and somehow a little baby javelina has shown up. Hope she sticks around through edits. By someone asked why anyone would want a pig as a pet, well … cuteness obviously:

 

 

And because this great kids book made javelinas cool:

The book at So You Think You Can Write (remember to vote) has a bratty, but cute, pony who would look like the following in real life, I’m sure!
